I have recently been going through memorabilia concerning the life & career of my great aunt Mabel Normand Silent Film
Comedienne etc. In my collection I have always admired a miniature painting which is signed " Quivney 1918." My grandmother told me Mabel had it commissioned as a wedding present for MackSennett. They didn't marry so she gave it to her mother. Do you know if the piece may have some value other than sentimental. I've tried to find further information on the artist but thus far nothing. I would appreciate to know more about him. With many thanks.
