the lowest level since February 2021 [ie. right after Biden took office, and
before inflation skyrocketed].

This follows a drop from 2.4% in March and is below forecasts of 2.4%.

Energy costs, in particular, saw a significant decline, with gasoline and fuel
oil prices decreasing at a faster pace."
