I think I am probably interjecting my opinion when it has not been solicited, but first I want to thank you for the thankless job of providing this forum for discussion. I cannot be here everyday, but I try to post something of interest that can be a basis for civil discussion. I also attempt to model your expectations by avoiding verbally abusing other posters. I attempt to use logic and reasoning in defending my opinions. That angers some prompting responses from verbal abuse to ad hominem insults.

I am happy you don’t ban those types. Their responses reflect poorly on themselves. I have been called everything from “white trash” to a “bitch” and have even had my spouse attacked. Your tolerance is appreciated but I can see why some behavior is censored.

I just wanted to let you know that your efforts are appreciated. I could have shared all of this in an e-mail, but based on a bad experience with an internet stalker, I am very cautious about using even a throw-away e-mail address on any forum.

So thank you for providing the forum and the best of luck dealing with the folks who seem to embrace verbal abuse as way of dealing with their own insecurities.
