She's trying to take credit for John Lewis becoming a recognized Southern leader.
Right or wrong, for better or worse, John Lewis uniquely belongs to us in the South. Our people abused him, and recognizing their dreadful wrongs, then elevated him to national prominence, which he enjoyed for the remainder of his valiant, inspiring and productive life. He lived in Georgia, not CoxLand.
John Lewis is OURS, not hers. Same for Martin Luther King.
What's lacking is civil rights leadership in her neck of the woods. All she's got is that mouthy opportunistic little wannabe weasel Al Sharptongue who can't decide whether he is a "reverend" or a PMS/BS/NBC fake news hack. Can't be both.
