I probably ingested too much hopium...I was under the misunderstanding that a foregin country would lower their prices to be commensurate with tariffs so that potential buyers would still be interested in the product.

Also...and one of the main reasons I cannot ever be a Republican...I have no problem with major corporations feeling some pain. I don't need a fancy car, fancy house, or fancy toys. Someone who can afford to drop 50K plus on a car can afford a 10% (or more) tariff. And, yes, I recognize that this tariff business is not ONLY about luxury items. However, all would have to admit that there is a significant number of 'population' that piss money away without a thought - they have no idea what it means to stick to the basics.

I might love some of the MAGA ideas...but at the end of the day...when it comes to money...I was raised by democrats, afterall.
