For some reason she sprang to my mind...another poster over at Mondo's may remember her.

Helen would get up everyday and post a trickle of articles that revolved around the days news - articles that were neither in favor of dems or repugs...just 'news'. Took a long time to figure out her source - because she was posting stuff long before it hit main stream media. This would have been back in the 1999/2000 time frame.

Turned out - before Drudge there was a dude that had a site...I cannot remember what it was called but something with the word roll call in it - not to be confused with any MSM sites - dude must have been an insider and he caught the news before it hit the wires...he shut the site down when his wife became ill with dementia or alzheimers (I cannot remember...which, gaaa, is not a pun) but someone else who reads here might remember the site I am referring to. It has been gone for a long time. Anyway...Helen had locked onto this site and was sharing all kinds of news with the MSNBC posters (before those boards shut down) and it kicked off lots of discussions. IMO, all interesting.

The point...oh yes...well can you imagine if a 'Helen' was posting on a board today first thing in the morning...she would probably have 'open season' stamped on her azz and have been picked off (flamed) before the first week of her posting was up.
