She uses dog whistle terms like southern supremist elitists and how they like cowboys because cowboys value their freedom and independence and then tries foolishly to paint Reagan and Goldwater with a racist brush because they wore a cowboy hat on occasion.
This is red meat for real racists like Joy Reid, but is utter nonsense to people like me who knew Goldwater and Reagan to be men of honor who believed in equal rights for all Americans.
