Not only is this clearly outside of the scope of duties of the federal government as enumerated in the Constitution, it is an incredibly short-sighted decision more aligned with Democrat-socialist candidate for NY mayor, Zohran Mamdani who says it is government’s role to seize the means of production of goods and services.

Constitutional issues aside, the U.S. government's broad intervention in corporate matters will create new categories of corporate risk, chaos in the marketplace, and an unnecessary intervention in the free market.
