People should buy engines they like and can afford. Car engine choice should not be based on politics.

I now have over 100,000 miles on my Tesla. The motor is still smooth, quiet, responsive and powerful. It has not needed any maintenance yet. It still has the disadvantages of short range and long recharge times.
