No more alike a third world country as the right moves away from the Constitution and any pretense of caring about law.

My ancestry is British, and they were also a bloody enough, and afraid to admit that they were no better than any other country, including those they called enemies. I don't have any need to worhip ancestors, they were the usual mix of good and bad, depending what their options were at the moment.

Humans have not changed all that much in the last three hundred thousand years, nor likely to change much all the way to the eventul extinction that eventually happpens to all living things. We never have been near as important as we would like to think we are as a species. Earth still has a much longer life abd will create more species, including intelligent ones. I wonder if those that replace us on that futre time will have any greater amount of wisdom.
