The entirety of European countries only have 100000. Americans are addicted to guns.

Now, don't get me wrong. I am all for people getting trained and being responsible. In fact, that's one thing I plan to do over winter.

But there are gaps in the laws for gun ownership. Better background checks wouldn't hurt. Mandatory testing (like with cars). Perhaps insurance?? Not sure on that one.

I also feel there needs to be serious scrutiny on weapons that can fire repeated rounds very quickly. I find it hard to believe these are "necessary" to any but law enforcement and the military.
