Charlie Kirk certainly didn’t deserve to die. And while I find conflicts with his support of Trump and his unwavering commitment to civil discourse, free speech, and fidelity to our Constitution, I support the later almost unconditionally.
Perhaps his death at the hands of a hate-filled assassin’s bullet will be a turning point for all of us. We certainly can be the change he envisioned, even on this obscure, speck of a forum on the internet by modeling our expectations with civil discourse. By choosing logic and reason over name calling and hate.
I am almost out of time, but kindness, decency, and love are timeless. Hate can be self-consuming.
Thanks for being a model for Charlie Kirk’s vision. Sometimes hope is all we have…
