EVs were prevalent in 1910. Baker Electric went out of business in 1915. There's nothing new about electric motors. If you are so pro-EV, then why do you still have 2 ICs? Are you afraid of what you think is "new technology"?
iPhones are no more technologically advanced than any of the other brands. I have had satellite and wireless phones since the early 1980s. I had the old "brick" and "half-brick" Motorola wireless phones and a Motorola wireless phone in my Mercedes back in the mid 1980s. I had the old Motorola flip-phones. I bought my first SmartPhone when they first came out. I have alternated among Motorola, LG and Samsung SmartPhones ever since. I will let impressionable, upwardly mobile, culturally-sterile yuppies like you pay thousands for Apple iPhones while I pay less than $100, get the same functionality, better pic/vid technology, and have money left over for investments, vacations, and re-badged Chevys with superior Cadillac styling (while you pay a lot more for a nondescript $78,000 Tahoe box that looks like any other beached whale SUV).
You are free to be sucked into substance-void crypto. I prefer gold and silver because they have intrinsic value, they hold value and appreciate, and they have alternate uses which add value. Numismatically significant coins far outstrip spot precious metals. There are coins being traded right now at prices 10 to 20 times one bitcoin. Crypto is still in in its infancy ... it remains to be seen how it plays out. But, go ahead and dive in, or STFU about new technology.
AI has been around a long time. IBM and AT&T/Bell Labs had voice recognition and response technology decades ago. Google was "AI" before AI became the current buzzword. The johnny-come-lately online AIs are just "re-badged" search engines which have been around for decades. Waiting to see how the mad frenzy to pour billions into AI plays out. I predict a dismal outcome. Dot.Com II. Still waiting for that command-driven robot to clean my home and wax my re-badged Chevy with Cadillac styling.
There's no real new technology in any of these disciplines mentioned herein. The preponderance of "new technology" effort is just striving to make a better mousetrap.
The real new technology is still a secret, and will be kept that way until it works.
I have kept up with technology, from IBM 1401s, 360s, 370s, DEC, Enterprise Systems, PCs, remote computing, programming languages, HTML, .net, PHP, Python and other aspects of computer technology longer than you have been on Earth. I still run a business based on advanced computer and Internet communication technology. Let me know when Vanderbilt will hire you on as a Professor of Computer Technology.
Now, trot along, sonny boy, and assault someone else with your customary one-word expletives.
Maybe chat with all your "international friends". Heh heh heh.
Smart people don't act like you.
