USA has a big national debt, but a few countries are even worse when you look at Government debt vs GDP:

What should we do?


1) Reduce Spending?
2) Raise Taxes?
3) Ignore the debt and leave it for our kids?
4) Raise our GDP?


Trump's plan: Lower taxes on the rich, reduce spending on education, raise the debt and expect our kids to pay it. Trump had six corporate bankruptcies (but no personal bankruptcies). I think his plan will make our kids broke and badly educated.


Elon Musk's plan: Use AI to make our country more productive so we will have a higher GDP so we can finally afford to pay down the debt. Musk is already a proven financial success with his companies. Maybe his plan for our country will work too, or maybe his plans will just help himself get even richer. Maybe his plan will just give our leaders more money to waste while they continue to increase the debt.
