Apparently The cars stopped in the middle of the street because they were no longer getting directions from their control center. If they were smarter they would have moved to the side of the street instead of blocking traffic. Humans know to move their cars to the side of the street when they have mechanical problems. The robots were too stupid to do that.

Sometimes I'm amazed companies can be so stupid and still manage to stay in business.
