We used to live on a small farm across from a church. Every day they would ring the bells at 12 noon. When we were in the fields, it would remind us that it's time to take a break and eat. I love it, and as a child I thought it was normal.

On special days like Christmas and the 4th of July, they would play chimes; it was beautiful. And as far as I know, no one ever complained.
