The total figure of around 92,000 is skewed a bit high by strikes in the healthcare sector (strikes + other losses: 28k). Along with that, the biggest losses were in leisure and hospitality (25k), manufacturing* (11k), construction (11k), transportation (11k), and tech (12k).

Note that these figures are quite consistent over multiple sources with very different political alignments (from the Economic Policy Institute to Fox News). I do not, however, know if this is simply because each used the same source material or because they did their own research and it pointed to the same figures. If anyone cared enough to dig deeper, I'd suggest beginning with the actual job report itself.

*Yes, there's still manufacturing in the US...crazy, huh? =P In any case, 14 out of 15 of the last months had losses in this sector.
