I came across your board in the Boardhost listings so stopped in to check you out as a potential hang out for cogent political discussions. The rules up top suggested the presence of effective and impartial moderators who would judiciously and faithfully enforce them.

Instead, it appears that it is a nothing but an anarchic battlefield where longstanding cyber-enemies can pummel one another with idiotic, typically profane insults and puerile attacks not remotely on topic.

While perusing page one, I have literally not found a single thread worth participating in due to the endless vitriol, enmity, rancour, and malice that apparently passes for "discussion" between combative factions. Rampant trolling and intense hatred of the opposition appears to be the prevailing standard here. Sadly, it is widespread amongst all of the fanatical zealots posting here.

One expects some degree of fierce and bitter disagreements when discussing religion or politics. However, one can reasonably expect participants to comport themselves properly according to the posted protocols, otherwise why bother posting them?

Due to the obvious lack of moderation, it can be established that the posted, basically toothless rules at the top are mere suggestions and that whomever runs and moderates this board isn't really invested in enforcing them. It is equally possible that said individual(s) are spineless and too timorous or otherwise occupied to enforce them.

I can't fathom why loathsome and grossly offensive posts are not removed and have noticed that no one ever seems to suffer any consequences for violating explicit rules. Perhaps it is because it also publicly states that no one will be banned, therefore posters have interpreted that to mean that it is open season on others whom they despise?

I understand that violations can readily happen and remain for part of a day because no one can be expected to be available 24/7/365, but why do they remain for several days --- unless moderation and decent behavior are not actually a priority?

Whatever the explanation is, it is not worth sticking around to find out.

If you are wondering why I've commented on such a disgraceful board, which I clearly abhor, it is because this the worst example of tolerated, partisan hostility that I've encountered so far on Boardhost. Participants and its ineffectual administration should be ashamed of what you've created here.

No doubt there are other boards that exist given the suggestion within threads that I've read that actively imply that at least some posters here also meet elsewhere. If Boardhost tolerates this sort of trash on its platform, then Boardhost isn't worth my time.

That said, feel free to attack my post in whatever filthy and inherently childish fashion that you prefer. Not only will I not read it, but you will only be effectively proving my point.
