Given that the Gala has been a showcase event for some of haute couture's more over-the-top self-indulgences, that's hardly surprising. Not sure it's much of an indication of the character of the people wearing them (although many celebrities are indeed, um...odd), but certainly good for some chuckles.

I thought Alysa Liu's (relatively) simple rose-themed dress was nice...so naturally some up-their-own-asses fashion reporters hazed her for it.
