During an interview with a manufacturing CEO in Peking,
I was told that the Chinese have absolutely no intention
of ever adapting their robotics for purposes of warfare,
since their adoption plan had been so successful, when
lubricated and fueled by resources from the middle-east,
and they now have access to Space, they are not as
interested in territorial expansion as they once were.
I thought to myself, yeah, right. I may have said it out
loud since the EXEC gave assurances their product
was being developed and manufactured solely for
civilian assistance in the home, such as doing the
dishwashing, the ironing, and the vacuuming.
I thought to myself, hey self, If they got a model that
can do the cooking prep so all I have to do is put it
in the oven and take it out, I could claim I cooked it,
and I could use one of those in my own home.
I may have said it out loud, since the EXEC directed
me to SALES n sold me one which included all the
attachments. I couldn’t tell who was which, they
all look the same to me.
The tax was only 2% at the time of purchase, but by the
time I got the product back home… I could almost swear
that I heard the EXEC say, as I turned and walked away
towards SALES, you Americans are always so interested
in the narrow and short term gain of I, me, mine, that
you often fail to look up or in at anything at scale•.
