As Democrats ignore the lessons of history and embrace socialism, they are really just embracing tyranny and the suppression of economic freedom.

French economist/philosopher Frederic Bastiat suggested a test for immoral government acts:

“See if the law benefits one citizen at the expense of another by doing what the citizen himself cannot do without committing a crime.”

Socialism conflicts with the basic human right to be free and to pursue happiness. It inherently requires brute force and tyranny to implement and maintain.

At some point Democrats who elect socialists will have to deal with the reality that socialism is the antithesis of freedom and in direct conflict with the inalienable rights our Constitution was designed to protect.
