Allah Fubar *. Knowing the past helps not repeat past mistakes as most civilizations keep repeating the same errors.

As far as being long dead as to future events, I'm getting much closer to the end of my life. The dying process is interesting, perhaps more scary than death itself, because of risk of suffering and lack of independence. However, both parents, and my oldest sister, managed to die in their own bed at home. Not a bad way to go. [Grin]

Meanwhile, my great,great,grandfather lived 89 years. So who knows
