This is one of the ugliest things the Trudeau government did during COVID.
They fined Ontario's Amish community more than $300,000 for not using the ArriveCAN app at the border.
Here's the catch: the Amish don't use phones. Their faith forbids smartphones, computers, all of it.
So they were punished for something their religion makes impossible.
It gets worse. Many were convicted without ever knowing there was a charge, a court date or a fine. The bills went to collections. Some families faced losing the farms they live on.
Now, with the help of The Democracy Fund, they're fighting back and winning cases across Ontario.
The state picked on the most peaceful people in the country. Every Canadian should be furious
