As someone who did not vote for Trump or Biden, I suppose I am uniquely qualified to say “I told you so.”

While Biden’s cognitive decline was much more evident from day one, both have authoritarian instincts that must be held in check. There is very little difference in my opinion between Trump’s populist brand of authoritarianism which he uses to dictate market destroying tariffs and state-ownership of private businesses and Biden’s elitist-brand of authoritarianism which he used to criminalize dissent and prosecute political opponents.

But Democrats and Republicans will continue to point fingers at each other with feigned indignation totally oblivious to their own responsibility for creating unsustainable debt and the destruction of our Constitutional institutions that protect we the people from their tyranny.
