Our Constitution is designed to protect individual freedom against the authoritarian whims of elitist politicians. Vital to defending the document which limits the power of our federal government is an independent judiciary free from the influence of corrupt elected officials who think it is their job to intimidate justices who dare rule against their tyrannical impulses.

The assault on our Constitution and the USSC justices must stop. Sure, decisions can be criticized. But an independent court is vital to the separation of powers subscribed in this ageless document and a key principle envisioned by its framers who believed government should be limited and accountable.

Threatening justices, adding seats on the court, and expecting appointed judges to ignore the Constitution in expectation of political favors are dangerous threats to the separation of powers and the timeless vision of the founders.
