as far as where the money comes from? Hopefully not the same place as Biden drew from to give Americans (and many non-Americans) 3 stimulus payments (1,200 - 600 - and 1,400) called "Economic Impact Payments" to offset financial impact of Covid Pandemic.

I believe when this conversation regarding refunding money to the people (whether it be 5K or whatever) the conversation was started by Scott Bessent who stated that it would result from tariff collections. I don't know - maybe it is all smoke and mirrors because the left has litigated most of that money back to corporations asserting it was illegally collected - but every president back to Clinton (according to AI) has given money back to taxpayers without a big fight in Congress - for example Clinton expanded EITC and also created a HOPE scholarship credit. Bush in 2001 and 2008 refunded budget surpluses through tax rebates and he issued stimulus checks (were they around 1.4K??? I can't remember) Obama doled out $250.00 bonuses to Social Security recipients. The Republicans seem to hand out more money than the Democrats for some strange reason.

IMO - they are all a bunch o manipulators and that includes DJT - but, then again, they are all just the figureheads - one day someone will rip that fabric down and we will get to see who the person is really behind the curtain who is running the show. Okay - so I was a fan of the Wizard of Oz - but truly we could have learned ALOT from Frank L Baum.
