Trump started it, then Newsome and California decided to continue it. That's the "two wrongs make a right" theory.

This guy might be a good candidate. America needs more independents:

I understand why one side will resort to it in response to the other, back-and-forth ad infinitum. But it's still profoundly anti-democratic, regardless of who's doing it, and should be dealt with via a constitutional amendment.

Of course, good luck on getting that to happen...

It would be like restoring the continents to Pangaea to bring about universal DEI.

And, shifting population requires re-mapping of districts.

More complicated than most folks are wired to contemplate.

Correction: Trump did not start it, but he did use it for partisan purposes.

Arnold Schwarzenegger tried to eliminate gerrymandering in California, but now Newsome and the California voters are bringing it back in response to Trump.
