People wanted to increase the minimum wage to $12 per hour and strengthen social programs, because some of them clearly understood that when, not if the dollar collapses and you have too many people homeless, suffering, hungry, etc., that even the police and military will side with the masses, just as they did during the Russian revolution, which led to the USSR.
