Solomon Peña (2025): A former Republican candidate for the New Mexico House of Representatives was sentenced to 80 years in federal prison in August 2025. A jury convicted him earlier that year of multiple charges, including conspiracy, weapons charges, and solicitation to commit a crime of violence, for orchestrating drive-by shootings at the homes of Democratic officials in Albuquerque following his 2022 election loss.

Dan Rodimer (Charged): A former Republican candidate for U.S. House in Nevada was charged with murder in March 2024 in connection with a fatal altercation at a Las Vegas Strip resort.

Andrew Wilhoite (Charged): A Republican town board candidate in Indiana was charged with his wife's murder in 2022, but the results indicate he was running while awaiting trial, not convicted.

Aaron Spencer (Charged): An Arkansas man and Republican nominee for sheriff is currently awaiting trial for a second-degree murder charge
