...let me say that DJT failing a college-level Statistics class is about as surprising as the sun rising in the east. It's a challenging subject, even at intro level, and not only mathematically. Proper interpretation of statistical data is a Philosophy of Science matter, and it's not simple stuff, although also not an aspect that gets a lot of examination until a 300-level (or so) course. A nepo dullard like Don wouldn't stand a chance.

I took Statistics, it was a breeze, and ...

Calculus, on the other hand, is quite useful ... but only for those who know how to use it.

When you are required to take subjects in which you have virtually no interest, you know you are receiving a superior education.

I do use the Monte Carlo method to determine the odds that a well-traveled traffic light will be green so I won't have to stop. That's really impressive, right?

Also, your odds of winning a lottery are related:
(# of #s needed to win factorial) X ((total # of #s minus total # of #s needed to win) factorial) divided by (total # of #s factorial). You can't win if you don't play. You can't win if you do play.

Yeah, that entire lexicon brings back the memories!

Mathematics and I have always gotten along well, so the subject wasn't so hard for me, either., It's the application part that was truly interesting (and frustrating in that seeing people so frequently botch said application makes me grind my teeth).

Even more frustrating with subjects even more "core" to what I do (philosophy, logic, and linguistics). Critical thinking skills, wherefore have thee gone?!
