Started with almost 300,000 attending. Weather set in & everyone left. Then 150,000 came back and stayed well past midnight. Trump spoke for 1 hour with absolute clarity, starting at 11 PM, disproving leftwing media outright lies about his mental status. Lots of praise for elderly servicemen and gold star families. Lots of history of America and our historic flags. Lots of great music. Greatest fireworks show on Earth. I have never seen a happier crowd.
I know this will disappoint some, but despite the massive crowds, law enforcement officials reported that the event remained very peaceful, with only a handful of isolated incidents on the National Mall.
The Metropolitan Police Department recorded 1 arrest at the National Mall. At approximately 8:42 p.m., an adult female was taken into custody at 809 Constitution Ave., NW for failure to obey and resisting arrest. (I'm tellin' ya, women are trouble! )
U.S. Park Police reported 3 arrests on the Mall, while the U.S. Secret Service reported 0 arrests for the day. ZERO.
Away from the National Mall, MPD focused its efforts on enforcing local fireworks laws, resulting in 11 confirmed citywide arrests on illegal fireworks-related charges. Oh, Horrors!!!
