Isn't AI just another solution looking for a problem?

Copilot kept begging me to let it "help" me with a simple Excel spreadsheet which contained a list of items with prices and a total of the prices.
I thought "Well, let's see what this obnoxious intruder has to offer ... have at it."
It came back with the following useless info:
1. The # of items in the list 2. The average or mean price 3. The median price 4. Mode 5. Range 6. Highest and lowest price 7. Some other garbledygook like standard deviation etc.
