The fact is that the best system for reducing poverty is capitalism.

The world’s most capitalist countries have an average GDP per capita of $71,576. That compares to $47,706 in the “mostly free” countries. At the other end of the scale are the “mostly unfree” and “repressed” countries, which have forced socialism and communism on their citizens. The GDP per capita is only $6,834 and $7,163, respectively in those countries.

New York State poverty rate is 14 %

Most cities big or small the poverty rate is higher than for the average state poverty rate is.

The leadership in those large cities is generally poor.
