whom I have never liked but it’s quite obvious to the most casual of observers with average intelligence that the Covid-19 vaccine mandate saved millions of Americans lives.

Therefore it should have been a choice, not a mandate.

Vaccines certainly made a difference—in that they made it much less likely that elderly, obese, and health-compromised Americans would suffer severe disease and death from COVID-19. There's not much evidence that the other mitigation efforts—mask mandates, lockdowns, social distancing—had a discernible impact on deaths.

That should be Fauci's legacy. He pushed the nation's leaders to implement heavy-handed social controls aimed at reducing the death toll of COVID-19, and those authoritarian restrictions on personal freedom accomplished very little.

Ironic that given his support for violating individual rights protected by the Constitution, he would hide behind the Fifth Amendment when elected officials attempted to discern the truth.

Certainly. Effective medications ALWAYS have dangerous side effects.

Fauci was the architect of policies that destroyed businesses, restricted our rights, and destroyed the education of millions of at-risk children. To “move on” without knowing the truth would be dishonorable to all who suffered from the effects of his authoritarian mandates.

Wearing masks certainly reduces the spread of COVID, and there is zero downside to mask mandates.

Masks were not effective. Put one on near a fire. Can you smell smoke? Smoke particles are larger than virus particles.

But if you think they are (were) effective, you have the right to wear one. In fact, if you really believe you are protected from a virus, then you don’t have to fret about whether or not other people wear them.

By that logic, surgeons should stop wearing them, right?
