Question for lovers of socialism ...

... who pays for the freeloader's windfall, and why?

I want capitalism, but with slightly higher taxes on the rich.

Instead of lowering taxes on the rich to "jump start the economy" and increase debt, we should raise taxes on the rich and reduce spending.

President Clinton’s bold economic agenda led to the longest period of economic expansion to that point in American history. Defining moments throughout his presidency, like the 1993 Deficit Reduction Plan and the Balanced Budget Agreement of 1997, eliminated the deficit and helped pave the way for consecutive surpluses, debt reduction, and historic investments in families and communities across the country.

Newt Gingrich did not push to raise taxes on the rich; instead, his political platform consistently favored lowering taxes and implementing a flat tax system that would have reduced taxes for high earners.

they have enough loopholes to avoid paying their taxes.

When the price of carpet went up, did you eat it or pass the added cost on?

So, what do you think happens when you add taxes to corporations and other business. Consumers pay when the government imposes extra costs on businesses. Are you willing to pay more for American-produced goods and services?

This question reminds me of a quote from the late Walter Williams.

“My definition of social justice: I keep what I earn and you keep what you earn. Do you disagree?…how much of what I earn belongs to you–and why?”

I told him to say that.
