Did you consider politics when buying a car?

Some of the liberals are now criticizing me for owning a Tesla. It's not a problem. It's just surprising and confusing.

I thought an EV would be a good responsible environmentally friendly choice, but now some of the liberals are criticizing me for the politics of Elon Musk. They are criticizing me for things Musk did after I bought the car.

I'm not a political extremist. I don't buy or avoid cars for political reasons.

I bought my Tesla based on: Low cost, durability, fun to drive, quiet, comfortable, no arguing with the salesperson about price, easy cheap maintenance, and environmentally friendly. In that order.

I consider the value I get for what I pay. That’s it.

I owned a Tesla for about five months four years ago. I didn’t like it and sold it.

I rented Teslas for over a year before I purchased mine.

Then Tesla lowered their prices, California offered me a $9,500 rebate to buy an EV, and the companies I drive for give various bonuses for driving an EV.

So for me an EV was less expensive than a similar size gas car. It's also fast, smooth, and quiet, making it fun to drive.

But who is paying the taxes for the roads you drive on?

I disagree with how my Governor run this state.

I wouldn't mind a special EV road use tax.

The Interstate Highway System, mandated by Eisenhower, gets shorted too, not to mention State and local roads nation wide.

And how do you tax someone with a solar home charger?

Toll Roads for EV's Only is a better solution. Snap a Pic if they don't pay.

If'n Ya wanna drive on roads paid for with fossil fuels, you still pay the Piper.

So you got value for a vehicle that you like and love to drive.

I know a few people who bought EV's and they love them.
