When I grocery shop, I pull up three stores locally and compare prices (same items) to find the best deals.

When I shop for furniture, I use various search engines to alert me to price drops. I need a new office chair badly, but I have a budget, so I watch price history too.

We go to farmer's markets when we can. We are about to start dehydrating a bunch of apples. I want to can some apple barbecue sauce.

I don’t know how a married couple with a couple of teenagers do it . Their grocerie bill must be out of sight. If a person puts in a small garden and cans you can save a lot . I have a 850 pound steer processed once a year and I buy a half a hog we can stuff but not like we use to
