I directed them because they don't know about triangulation and alignment which was the only slight difficulty! Hey Mike what are these little bits of metal at the corners for? Those will prevent the legs collapsing which is why you have to keep straightening the legs up!
Whats these for? Do you really not know what they are? No! They are called wingnuts and thats why no tools are required for the final assembly. Look for holes in the two side frames of what are basically single beds and I'll pass you the two long bolts that go through the frames when properly aligned.
Until last night I'd been sleeping on the mattress on the floor. without knees its bloody difficult to get vertical so Tam and I evolved a system which worked but left me knackered. I slid off the bed onto a cushio which she rotated until my back was towards the armchair and my feet were pressing against the mattress.
Then I lifted my bum to chair height using my elbows as lifting levers and wriggled until I could basically grip the chair edge with my buttocks. One last heave got me safely onto the chair. It was a very energy consuming exercise with a certain urgency since I cant stand until my knees are at 90 degrees and after a nights sleep the toilet is my next port of call.
Now I can simply slide off the bed with my legs straight and go potty with no drame and better yet I'm no longer forced to stay in this chair all day but can even have a horizontal nap when I want!
Huge improvement
