Just a heads up chaps.
Will be gone from this Friday for week for my tech free annual jaunt to pastures pleasant to recharge the old batteries.
Hope to see the new life boat in its equally new lifeboat house. As part of the fund raising effort, for a small fee, you can have a loved ones name inserted into the white figures on the side of the boat which is quite fitting as Denise's family gave nearly three hundred years service to the boat at Wells, some of it in the day when the bloody thing was hand powered, and has paid for her late fathers name to be included on the larboard side of the boat.
He was a master mariner in the merchant marine all his working life and I find it quite fitting that when the boat goes on a shout an old Wells name will be there in stencil as well as spirit.
The pictures are of the new boathouse and the new boat.

One of the pictures show the new boat being lead into harbour by the outgoing craft, one which I have been privileged to have been on board in the past.
