I must apologise as I often don't make comments on them, but that should not in any way be construed as a disinterest in them or in you.
I must admit I don't watch them with 100% reliability for any number of reasons, whether its my dedicating the time required or my preference for a book on the subject or the subject isn't of interest.
I sometimes feel the need to "do things while I still can", rather like the stereotype of the schoolboy in the second week of August rushing about trying to have as much fun as possible in those last days before term begins. I wonder if that is the subconscious driver in us that truly is behind that hackney'd in-retirement quote about "how did I ever find the time to go to work?"
Between that and consciously scheduling physical activity each day to hold off what will one day be the inevitable physical collapse inherent to those of us who have indulged my choice of lifestyle and career, I actually find myself feeling impatient with myself if I sit with this thing watching video for any length of time. I imagine that also includes fora and the various social media; inert time is not good for me physically and one day that ability to "do stuff" like fast cars and build model railways, even lay in the winter's wood supply (a recent activity) will be gone. I very much fear the day, so I work to hold it off; if I'm honest it won't take much with the current physical conditions for that day to pass. Vigilance!
I find I enjoy a book more than this thing, and it might be a function of the size of a tablet screen and its intensity, though dialling back the brightness doesn't seem to help. A book doesn't induce the blurriness of vision, the eye strain that an hour on this tablet does.
If I cast a vid up on the telly, this isn't a problem, I find, but then Memsahib is cursed with my choice of subject encroaching on her world, and not only visually as years of gunfire have done in my high-frequency hearing. A book is just "better".
I offer this by way of explanation as to why I very often don't comment on the videos you post reference to here. By no means should you stop. By no means is it indicative of a disinterest in subject. Most importantly, by no means does that indicate a disinterest in the poster.
