AWAIT PERMISSION TO CONTINUE SUGGESTED REMEDIAL ACTION................................................
Some instinct caused George to wake up at 3am and decide to continue studying Charles legacy of notes. He left the bedroom quietly, looked in on the other children to ensure that they were sound asleep before silently descending the heavily carpeted stairs.
He paused to listen and check that there was nothing untoward to be heard whilst still experiencing the same sort of strange sense of something being out of place that had first awoken him.
As silent as a ghost (though obviously not one of the Jacob Marley's clanking chains variety), he crept up to the laboratory door which oddly was ajar, he always closed it, and through the slight gap saw what almost looked like a short and slender Ninja.
He must have drawn a gasp of surprise or perhaps his imagination had supplied him with false information but for whatever reason the black humaniform became the cat that sprang up from the floor onto the bench
top and gave a loud 'miaow!
"I don't think so Mr Pussycat!" whispered George as he firmly but quietly closed the door behind him. " Let's try putting our cards face up on the table, eh? I don't know who or what you are but you've met your nemesis my fine furry friend."
