No upset on my part chaps I can assure you.
I have learned the when the literary muse hits you Mike it's best to leave you and Sarge inside the bubble you both inhabit re such things.
As I think I once said fiction is an alien world to me so I cannot offer anything of value to the choir so think it only fair that I take a back seat as it were as I know that your situation re health and working computer, as I understand it, means you must strike when the words come to you and the PC is is well enough to type on.
I have absolutely no problem backing off at said times.
It also has given me a chance to catch up on a project I'm part of a triumvirate in with an Oxfordshire ZX guru and a a chap from Sweden.
The project being finding a way to get usable audio out of a ZX81 other than the usual squeaks and buzzes and I'm please to say we have succeeded in this regard and are now waiting for the finished interface to come back from the makers.
As I write this I'm listening to a track from Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac (shake your money maker) on a ZX81!
As for things being expensive I can't say that anything too much has changed for me regardless of what the BBC doom and gloom merchants preach and for reasons best known to themselves the government is throwing money at my energy bills every month to the point of me being in credit with the utility company I get my energy from and also for some equally unfathomably strange reason , my local council is throwing wads of cash at me and rather than being the penniless pauper that the news outlets are saying I should be, I have never had a bank balance this healthy at this time of year considering we are pensioners.
So chin chin boys and as you were men!
