After yesterday's session, I've been doing some reading online re: the history of the RW&O. That's a pretty fascinating story going back to mid-19th century. I've spent some time in the Auburn-Rome-Syracuse corridor a number of times back when my sister lived in Aurora (a town on western edge of Cayuga Lake once served by the Lehigh Valley). That whole midsection of New York State is some lovely country.
