This is the southeast corner of the workshop, so out of the prevailing NW winds, tucked up under the eaves so as close to dry as you can get, and well supported not only by the downspout but the electrics going into the workshop.
The conduit and aluminium downspout are a helluva lot harder to climb than the bark of a tree, so a bit more of a challenge to the climbing predator.
Pretty smart at first blush. We'll see how it works out for them.
