Being increasingly disabled I've been turning my mind to paper models once more, trying to plan out how to build elaborate architectural details like Brightons Princes Pavilion or the Kremlin though not quite so extravagant as those.
When in college learning Design, I took exception to the way the Bauhaus ethic was lauded as superior to Victorian embellishment and I disagreed with their 'form follows function' mantra though it has its applications, it does not necessarily rule the aesthetic roost.
You'll have to wait for some pictorial examples of what I'm discussing as its all in my head and waiting an opportunity to be built in miniature.
My main preoccupation at the moment is inventing ways to form paper by molding it so as to incorporate the floral decorations or 'faces' such as might decorate a fascia or important doorway.
HO or N may be the scale I have to choose because of my constricted bed space, I'm sleeping in a cross between a gymnasium and drawing office!
Please be patient with me and I hope to continue to amuse and entertain you all.
