I take no umbrage at all, but my linguistic circumstance can actually be a pain in the ass/arse, simply because I can't fit into this culture any more than I could fit in that one. Having to explain oneself wherever one goes is to be reminded one really isn't "at home" anywhere.

Never be an repat-expat. You'll be a "foreigner" for life wherever you might find yourself. "Home" doesn't change, but you do. Sigh...
