The external skin on the fascia has been applied, sealed around the joints with a hot-glue gun, and painted.
I also hit the raw edges of the "homasote", a type of pressed paper board ideal for this purpose to seal it up before the ground covers are applied.
A half of a single-road shed goes where the black outline is. Pure theatrical laziness on my part in painting what will be inside the building black. An old set designer's mantra: if you want someone to ignore something, paint it black.
Next up, the controls on the fascia and plant whatever structures we'll use.
Then, a dry sunny day is required so I can crack out the airbrush and paint the track. After that, it's the ballast and groundcover.
