And all i wanted was new knees!
The more they look the more they find, it seems but then what do you expect from a 76 year old bod?
Reminds me of trying to rejuvenate that 1926 Coventry Eagle that was my first bike - every day I discovered something else that needed fixing although when I got it the bike would run but then the moment it started to be used in motion, first one then the next system failed. Generator, carburettor, cables, wheel spokes and bearings, chain, gearbox (wish I still had that Albion box) and so on...
I really appreciate your posts and their replies but replying to them is an effort as my arm muscles are withereing enough to make it awkward and heavy to move this machine from bedside to laptop. Besides with all the pills I'm on, sleep seems to descend at the slightest opportunity and also I need to stay in touch with Tammy so we watch movies together on YouTube otherwise I'm alone in my 'cell' consisting of a sort of four poster bed made by my bunk being surrounded with clothing hanging from the upper rails and keeping me draught free and warm but somewhat isolated.
I rely heavily on audiobooks to keep me sane, right now I'm listening to William Shirer's 'Berlin Diary'
So stay in touch please chaps and dont give up on me
