I always felt that these types of printers would be better suited to making larger objects that small ones.
In the computer forums that I inhabit a lot of users who make interfaces and add-ons for various systems also produce 3D printed cases and quite frankly they look bloody dreadful.
Each printed layer line can clearly be seen on supposedly smooth sided panels so much so that it's like looking at a 405 line UK CRT TV screen from the 1960's.
Everything is all rough textured and makes the interfaces concerned look rather cheap and shoddy.
Maybe that's down to a cheap printer being used or maybe the operators ineptitude who knows but bigger looks definitely better judging by the look of that bungalow in the BBC link..
