One of the most important points to my discussion which I haven't mentioned so far, though its really the crux of the argument, is that in my opinion all this I've spoken about could easily be summarised as being about fear.
That is to say what motivates the majority of Trump followers, though they would probably indignantly deny this. ME AFRAID! I aint afraid of no one...
Most people don't like change especially to those influences they regard as being essential, that's to say, the bedrock of their daily routine.
Some changes are inevitable and generally grudgingly accepted even though they still contribute to the reservoir of dissatisfaction and its this invisible and insidious source of resentment that mostly fuels the bigotry and racism that is largely born of ignorance.
People will insist on looking for a convenient scapegoat or in some instances a positive flock of them! What's worse is that even those of us who honestly do their best to rid themselves of this regrettable tendency, still do so on occasion and possibly try to justify it as 'humour' or 'not really serious' but in that case why do so at all?
(This episode shortened thanks to pain! Sore bum)
